understand why you would want to impress her parents but pretending to
be someone or something else will simply not work. So don't try.
The person who really
matters here is your girlfriend. She knows you'll be nervous and
she'll be nervous too. The important thing to her is that you are
there with her. She has CHOSEN you, she did not choose her parents.
This indicates that she wants to be with you.
We guess you are nervous
that you might not 'get along' with her parents. Have you asked your
girlfriend what she'd think if you didn't get along with them? The
important thing is that you get along with her!
Why do you think your
parents would over react?
If your friends embarrass
you, then they cannot be real friends. This girl may be giving you a
chance to make something of yourself. Take that chance.
