Dating: Should I dump him?

At times in our lives, we each experience problems in our relationships, in dating or meeting people. Sometimes these relationship problems can be small ones and sometimes they can be major ones. Should I dump him?

My boyfriend of a year and 8 months recently told me that he cheated on me 3 times(just made out) with 3 other girls.

I told him i wanted to work it out cause i really love him, but then i found out the only reason he told me was because he wanted me to dump him so he could date this girl he met one day earlier...

But then he said he made a mistake and that he still wanted to be with me...and a week later he told me we needed to take a break for a week cause he still has feelings for this girl he's known for a week.

I really don't know what to do...should i dump him or try to work things out if he doesn't break up with me at the end of the week??

This guy clearly does not seem to know what he wants yet is trying to do what he thinks is the right thing. He knows that whatever decision he makes is going to hurt somebody; which is probably why he tried to get you to dump him.

He clearly has some feelings for you but it seems that those feelings are not very strong. At the moment you are allowing him to take the lead, it is better for you if you make the decisions that affect your life.

You have to decide whether, after all this, you really love and trust him. If the answer is not a full yes, then perhaps you should decide to dump him. By doing this you are making the decision for him, which maybe what he wants because of his low level of emotional maturity, but you are also making the decision for yourself which will allow you to move on in your life.
